Exporting your inventory from Sortly is a convenient way to manage and share your data across platforms. Whether you need to create detailed reports or simply want to back up your inventory data, Sortly offers several export options to suit your needs. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of exporting your inventory.
Export Types Available
- CSV Spreadsheet (Customizable)- Export your inventory data in a customizable CSV format, allowing you to tailor the export to your specific requirements
- Excel (.xlsx)- Similar to CSV, export your inventory data in an Excel-compatible format (.xlsx), enabling you to work with your data in spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel.
- PDF report with images - Sortly offers three types of PDF reports, each customizable to suit your preferences:
- Dropbox export - This feature allows you to export your inventory data and images directly to Dropbox, providing seamless integration with cloud storage.
CSV Export
Exporting from a Folder:
- Select the items or folders that you want to export. Click on Export.
- Choose the Spreadsheet option and click Next
- Choose which fields you want to be included in the export and click Next
- Your export will be downloaded to your device.
Exporting from Multiple Folders:
- Navigate to Advanced Search and choose the folders and items you want to Export.
- Choose the Spreadsheet option and click Next
- Choose which fields you want to be included in the export and click Next
- Your export will be downloaded to your device.
Exporting from the Inventory Summary Report
- Navigate to the Inventory Summary Report and click Export:
- Choose the CSV option (default) or the Excel option and click Export:
- Your export will be downloaded to your device.
Excel Export
Exporting from a Folder (.xlsx)
- Select the items or folders that you want to export. Click on Export.
- Choose the Spreadsheet option and click Next
- Toggle the Export as .xlsx (Excel) button to on. Choose which fields you want to be included in the export and click Export.
- Your export will be downloaded to your device.
Exporting from Multiple Folders (.xlsx)
- Navigate to Advanced Search and choose the folders and items you want to Export.
- Choose the Spreadsheet option and click Next
- Toggle the Export as .xlsx (Excel) button to on. Choose which fields you want included in the export and click Export.
- Your export will be downloaded to your device.
PDF Export
Exporting from Multiple Folders
- Navigate to Advanced Search and choose the folders and items you want to Export.
- Choose the PDF option and click Next
- Choose which fields you want to be included in the export and click Next
- Your export will be downloaded to your device.
Album Type
- Select the items or folders that you want to export. Click on Export.
- Choose the Page(s) option, Album type, and click Next
- From there, choose if you want to include a Title Page, Summary Page, and Labels. Select the fields you want to export and click Export.
- Your PDF will be downloaded to your device.
Compact Type
- Select the items or folders that you want to export. Click on Export.
- Choose the Page(s) option, Compact type, and click Next
- From there, choose if you want to include a Title Page, Summary Page, or Labels and if you want to Exclude Photos. Select the fields you want to export and click Export.
- Your PDF will be downloaded to your device.
List Type
- Select the items or folders that you want to export. Click on Export.
- Choose the Page(s) option, List type, and click Next
- From there, choose if you want to include a Title Page, Summary Page, and Labels. Select the fields you want to export and click Export.
- Your PDF will be downloaded to your device.
Dropbox Export
- Select the items or folders that you want to export. Click on Export.
- Choose the Integrations option and click Next. (If this is your first time doing this export type, you will be prompted to connect Sortly to your Dropbox account. If you've already connected, click Next.)
- Choose if you want to include CSV data and click Export.
- Your data will be exported to your Dropbox account and you will see this confirmation message
