How to generate inventory reports in Sortly?

Users can generate 3 kinds of inventory reports in Sortly:

1. Item Based Reports (via Advanced Search)

2. Folder Based Reports

3. Activity Based Reports

Currently, all reports can only be generated (exported) on the desktop version of Sortly.

See how to generate each of those kinds of reports below:

1. Item Based Reports (via Advanced Search)

You can generate item based reports in the "Advanced Search" section of the Sortly Desktop App.

Within the Advanced Search feature, you can generate custom lists by filtering them based on item details like Folder Location, Sortly ID, Quantity, Price, Notes, and any custom fields.

Once you have a list you want to download, bulk select all the items and then tap on the "Export" button. You can export those lists via CSV, PDF or Dropbox.

Note: The CSV and PDF reports are customizable.

2. Folder Based Reports

You can export your inventory lists within any folders (and their subfolders) by tapping on "export" button within the "folder options" menu. See screenshots below.

You can also choose to export multiple folders at the same time by bulk selecting Folders.

These reports can be exported via CSV, PDF or to Dropbox.

Note: The CSV and PDF reports are customizable.

Single folder selection:

If you've grouped items in a folder that need to be moved or distributed somewhere, this is a great way to get a picklist for your team to take further action on the items.

3. Activity Based Reports

You can generate activity (transaction) based reports at the item, folder or account level.

View the item or folder based activity by tapping on "History" in the item/folder options menu.

View the account based history by tapping on "Activity History" in "Settings."

You can also filter and sort the list of transactions by "date period" or "activity type" prior to exporting the report. You can also use the "Search" field to filter the list by "User".
