How to Generate Inventory Reports in Sortly

Sortly users can generate three types of inventory reports:

Item-Based Reports (via Advanced Search)

You can generate item-based reports in the Advanced Search section of the Sortly Desktop App.

Within the Advanced Search feature, you can generate custom lists by filtering them based on item details like Folder Location, Sortly ID, Quantity, Price, Notes, and any custom fields.

Once you have a list you want to download, bulk select all the items and then tap on the Export button. You can export those lists via CSV, Excel, PDF, or Dropbox.

Note: The CSV, Excel, and PDF reports are customizable.

Folder-Based Reports

You can export your inventory lists within any folders (and their subfolders) by tapping on the Export button within the Folder Options menu. See the screenshots below.

You can also choose to export multiple folders at the same time by bulk selecting Folders.

These reports can be exported via CSV/Excel, PDF, or Dropbox.

Note: The CSV, Excel, and PDF reports are customizable.

If you've grouped items in a folder that need to be moved or distributed somewhere, this is a great way to get a picklist for your team to take further action on the items.

Activity-Based Reports

You can generate activity (transaction) based reports at the item, folder, or account level.

  • View the item or folder-based activity by tapping on "History" in the item/folder options menu:mceclip3.pngmceclip4.png
  • View the account-based history by tapping on Activity History in Settings:mceclip5.pngmceclip6.png

You can also filter and sort the list of transactions by Date Period or Activity Type prior to exporting the report.

You can also use the Search field to filter the list by User:
