Adding Photos from the Web

Adding Photos to the web within the item

1. Click on the Item and then click EDIT at the top right:
2. Under Product Information, click the photo block:
3. Select the photo you want to add to the item and click Open. Then click the SAVE button at the top right:
4. To add additional photos (max of 8) repeat this process.

Adding Photos via CSV/Excel Import

To add a photo via Bulk Import (CSV or Excel), you will need a public URL for the photo. The photo should be searchable via Google or other search engines. Please note: This will only be an option if you use the Expert template from the Advanced Import option to upload.

Editing Photos

Refine your photos effortlessly with Sortly! Whether on mobile, tablet, or desktop, adjust zoom, orientation, crop, and reorder with ease. Note: Full editing available on web (app.sortly.com); mobile app allows adding/removing photos.

1. Navigate to the photo you would like to edit and click the Edit icon in the upper left
2. Then click the pencil icon next to the photo
3. You will then land on the edit screen where you can choose the edit option

In the red box above, you can see the settings for editing the photo. The edit options from left to right are:

1. Move - move the location of the image or the starting point of the image
2. Crop - cut the image to a different size
3. Zoom In - move in on the image
4. Zoom Out - move out on the image
5. Rotate Counterclockwise 
6. Rotate Clockwise

Once you have made the adjustments to the photo, click SAVE at the bottom and then SAVE again at the top right

Adding Photos to Items from the Mobile App

1. Click on the Item and then click the photo icon:
2. From there, you can take a photo of the item, or you can click View Library to choose a photo from your mobile device:
3. Select the photo and click Add and then Save:
4. Continue this process to add additional photos to your item.

Adding Photos to Folders from the Mobile App

1. Click on the three dots next to the Folder and then select Details:
2.  Click the photo icon at the bottom right of the image box:
3. From there, you can take a photo of the item, or you can click View Library to choose a photo from your mobile device:
4. Select the photo and click Add and then Save:

FAQ

What are the image size limits and thumbnail specifications in Sortly?

Sortly allows images up to 1080p on the longest side, accommodating both portrait and landscape orientations. For images uploaded to Items or Folders, the maximum dimensions are 5K by 5K (5120 × 2880). Thumbnails displayed alongside item details are cropped to 100x100, using the direct center of the image. Currently, users cannot manually select the thumbnail they wish to capture.
