Can I use Sortly in offline mode?

Sortly works best when your devices can sync in real time, but we know that is not always possible. Offline mode lets you keep working in Sortly even without a signal, so a warehouse basement or a remote job site will not slow you down.

πŸ’‘ Offline mode is available on our mobile apps only, for both Android and iOS. It is not currently available on the web app.

How to Enable Offline Mode

  1. 1Open the Sortly app. Download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  2. 2Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the bottom right corner.

  3. 3Tap Settings.

  4. 4Tap Sync Inventory.

  5. 5Tap Disable Sync. This turns off syncing until you turn it back on.

βœ… You are now in offline mode. When you are ready, turn sync back on and your inventory changes will push to the server and reflect across all your devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my data automatically sync in offline mode?
No. Offline mode only updates inventory levels on your device. Once you reconnect to WiFi, LTE, or 5G, your changes push to the server and reflect on every other device on your account.
Should I sync before I go offline?
Yes. When you disable sync, the app only shows the inventory as it was at that moment. Force a full sync first so you are working from the most current data.
How do I perform a full sync?
See our full sync article for step by step instructions.
