Microsoft Teams Integration

Keep your team in the loop by sending Sortly inventory notifications to the Microsoft Teams channel they already watch, so nobody has to check Sortly to see what changed. Once it's set up, activity in Sortly, like new items, low stock alerts, or completed jobs, shows up in Teams automatically. This article walks you through connecting Sortly to Microsoft Teams and what to expect once it's running.

Installation

Go to Integrations in the side panel and select Microsoft Teams.

Under Step 1: Add URL, hover over the question mark icon. The tooltip explains that you need an Incoming Webhook for a Teams channel. Select Learn More to open Microsoft's guide to creating incoming webhooks.

Follow Microsoft's guide to create an incoming webhook for the Teams channel where you want Sortly notifications.

Copy the webhook URL from Teams and paste it into Add Target URL in Sortly.

Under Step 2: Select Events, select the events that should send a notification to your channel. You can choose from Inventory (created, edited, moved, deleted, and low stock alert), Purchase Orders (created and status changed), and Jobs (created and status changed). Select Select All in a group to choose all of its events at once.

Select Save Changes. You can come back and update these settings any time.

Using the Microsoft Teams integration

Once it's connected, the integration runs on its own. Actions taken by you or your team in Sortly post automatically to the Microsoft Teams channel you selected, based on the events you chose.

✅ You'll see event posts show up in the channel as they happen, no extra steps needed on your end.
